Job Description:

A non-profit healthcare facility, The Aga Khan University Hospital provides all medical services to its residents under one roof. Job Location:

·       Hyderabad, Sindh

Responsibility:

·       perform preoperative anesthesia assessment of patients

·       provide perioperative anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery 

·       deliver anesthesia care in one or more areas

·       participate in maintaining the quality of care

·       coordinate with other departments in delivering efficient patient care

·       perform night on-call sessions

·       follow the hospital’s quality and patient safety policies in the provision of patient care

·       carry out the orientation of staff and conduct teaching sessions as a measure for capacity building of existing team 

·       Take part in department quality improvement initiatives.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

·       an MBBS degree with a valid PM&DC license and completed house job

·       FCPS or equivalent qualification; MCPS can be considered

·       at least 5-6 years of experience in Anesthesiology

·       excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills and ability to handle work pressure

·       ability to understand issues from the patient’s perspective

·       command over counseling patients and their families and adapting content, style, tone, and medium of communication to suit the target audience's language, cultural background, and level of understanding
